Terms of Service

ShipSafe (“ShipSafe”, “we”, “us”) is a passive security checkup for web applications, operated by Limitless Marketing. By using ShipSafe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

ShipSafe fetches a publicly accessible URL you provide and runs a set of passive, read-only checks for common misconfigurations (such as exposed keys in client code, publicly readable database tables, and exposed files). It is an informational checkup. It does not modify your application and does not access your source code.

You may only scan applications you own or are explicitly authorized to test. By submitting a URL you represent and warrant that you have that authorization. You are solely responsible for your use of ShipSafe, including ensuring it is lawful in your jurisdiction. Using ShipSafe to scan, probe, or attack systems you do not control is strictly prohibited and may be illegal.

A clean result means none of the specific issues we check for were detected at the time of the scan. It is not a guarantee that your application is secure, and a scan does not cover every possible vulnerability. New issues can appear at any time. ShipSafe is one input into your security, not a substitute for a professional audit.

ShipSafe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be complete or accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipSafe and Limitless Marketing will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including any reliance on a scan result, whether or not we were advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the prior twelve months.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShipSafe and Limitless Marketing from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service or your breach of these terms, including any scan you run on a system you were not authorized to test.

Do not abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service; do not use it to scan systems you do not own or control; do not use it as part of an attack on any system; and do not attempt to reverse, resell, or circumvent rate limits. We may block or rate-limit any use at our discretion.

We may update these terms or the service at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
